Lenore, the ‘young one' of Scottish roots, dog-trainer and musher, horse-enthusiast, former peace officer, fisherwoman, orchestra director, kindergarten music teacher, violist/fiddler, dulcimer player and mandolinist, recent bride and expectant mother-to-be…dreams of the singer within…longing to hear the songs and legends of Celtic folk-heroes that she may carry them back to her soon-to-be-born.
Lenore Siems began her musical career at the age of eleven when her parents gave her a violin so she could participate in the school orchestra program. Due to a shortage of viola players, she switched her allegiance to the viola while in the 10th grade and went on to participate in music competitions and in the All-State Orchestra. Lenore received a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice and worked in law-enforcement as a US Customs Inspector, a National Park Ranger, and a Sheriffs Water Patrol Deputy in Minnesota. She then returned to Bemidji State University to complete a BS degree in Music Education with a concentration in K-12 orchestra and classroom music. As an undergraduate, she was International Foreign Exchange student to England. In 1992, while teaching K-1 music at Ellis Air Force Base in SD, she was honored with the district's nomination for First Year Teacher of the Year and advanced to national competition.

In addition to playing with Caleigh, Lenore has performed professionally with the Heartland Symphony and the Black Hills Symphony of Rapid City, SD, the Itasca Symphony in Grand Rapids, MN, the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, and the Amato String Quartet. From 1993-1995 she served as Director of the Itasca Orchestral Society in Grand Rapids, MN. Since 1993, when she was introduced to Bluegrass music, she has played in numerous fiddle festivals and competitions. She has been a US adjudicator for the Thunder Bay, Ontario Canadian fiddle competition, as well as director of the Headwaters School of Music and the Arts Fiddle Camp in 1998. Lenore is a member of the MN Music Education Assoc. and currently teaches music in the kindergarten and Early Intervention programs of the Bemidji School District. She also teaches adult violin classes. She is currently finishing her master's degree in education at BSU.

A former dogsled racer, present day fisherwoman, horse-lover, and soon-to-be first-time mother, Lenore lives in Bemidji with her husband, Dann Siems, and their two dogs Lily and Viking.
